You don't have to know anything about music to play this game, but it is best if you learn some basic theory. Read below to learn everything about musical notes and the music staff.
Reading music with the game
The game uses a virtual piano so you can play the notes on the staff. You can play any of these 4 games:
- Treble or G Clef game.
- Bass or F Clef game.
- C Clef game.
- Grand Staff game.
How does the game work?
- Each oval (whole note) on the staff represents a note on the online piano. Play each note before they reach the vertical line.
- The first notes are highlighted. Memorize and play each one of them. Throughout the level, the only notes that are used, are the ones highlighted at the beginning.
- The following notes that are not highlighted, are random.
- With each new note, the ovals (whole notes) move faster.
- If the notes on the staff reach the vertical line before you play them, the game ends.
In the first levels you will learn the lines on the staff. Then you will learn the spaces. The advanced levels use lines, spaces and accidentals (sharps and flats).

The staff and the musical clefs
The staff consists of 5 basic lines. In a staff, the notes appear on the lines and also on the spaces between the lines. Every line and space represent a different musical note.
A clef is a symbol at the beginning of the staff. It allows us to know which musical notes are represented on each line and space of the staff.
Using the treble clef or G clef, the musical notes of the 5 lines from the bottom up are:
- E
- G
- B
- D
- F
Using the bass clef or F clef, the musical notes of the 5 lines from the bottom up are:
- G
- B
- D
- F
- A
Using the C clef on the third line, the notes of the 5 lines from the bottom up are:
- F
- A
- C
- E
- G
The Grand Staff will be the greatest challenge of this game because it uses the treble and bass clefs at the same time.
Solving possible problems
The following list might help you if you run into problems:

- Every time you play a note on the virtual piano, you should hear the sound of the musical note. If you don't hear anything please be sure to check the volume of your device.
